Ionia Daily Standard, page 4, 17 Feb 1902

Eugene H. Lewis, whose age was 30 years and whose home was in Easton, for four
months a fireman on the Pere Marquette, jumped from his engine, near White
Cloud, on Saturday, and sustained injuries to his head from which he died.  The
remains were brought to Ionia today.  Funeral on Tuesday at 3 o’clock p.m. 
Interment in Easton cemetery.
