                              HUDSON H.LEWIS

Hudson H.Lewis, 80, of 415 1/2 Pleasant died Thursday afternoon following a 
three-month illness.

He was born April 22, 1889 in Roscoe, S.D. the son of Harmon and Carrie Smalley 
Lewis and came to Ionia in 1911. May 4, 1913 he was married in Ionia to Albertia 
Walker of Keswick, England.

In 1959 he retired from Ionia State Hospital as an attendant.he was a member of 
the First Christian Church and former long time member of IOOF. He served with 
National Guard during World War I.

Surviving are his wife, Albertia, two sons James A and Charles R.of Ionia; three 
daughters Dorothy Lewis and Mrs.Donald I. Chance,Sr. both of Ionia and 
Mrs.Maynard McClain of Freeland; nine grandchildren; one sister Mrs.Earl Smith 
of Carson City; two brothers, Bert of Crystal and Cledith Skinner of Lansing.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at Myers Funeral Home. 
Rev.Theodore Forbes will officiate and interment will be at Tuttle Cemetery.

Family will be at the funeral home Friday from 7 until 9 .m.
