Her acquaintance was unusually wide, and her death is deeply mourned by a large circle of friends. Mrs. Lewis’ maiden name was Eunice L. Way. She was born in Maumee City, Ohio August 26, 1835. Her marriage to Hiram Lewis, of Orange, occurred in October 1852. Two children were born, one son Becket Lewis, of Portland, with whom deceased had long made her home, surviving. The husband died several years ago. Mrs. Lewis was a member of the local Rebekah lodge and Perry N. Moore Circle, Ladies of the G.A.R.
