Miss Susanna M. Lewis was born Jan. 23, 1842, in North Plains, Ionia county, 
Michigan, and passed away Dec. 25, 1921, at her home near Carson City, Michigan.

She always lived a true Christian life, always thinking of others.

Three brothers, William C. Lewis of Middleton, Harmon Lewis of Perrinton and 
Ira Lewis of Durand and many other relatives and friends will mourn their loss.

The funeral services were held at the Congregational church Wednesday 
afternoon, Rev. Edward Humonrey? officiating.  The remains were laid to rest in 
the west side cemetery at Hubbardston.

Those from away who came to attend the funeral were:  Mr. and Mrs. Wm C. Lewis 
and son Paul of Middleton, Mr. and Mrs. Ira Lewis of Durand, Mr. and Mrs. 
Hudson Lewis of Ionia, Mr. Roger of Breckinridge, Mrs. Walter Scott of 
Ludington, Mrs. C. A. Whitbeck of Grand Rapids, Mrs. Watts Rummer and daughter 
Marion of Sheridan and Mr. and Mrs. Ashel Terwilliger of Crystal.
