Ionia County Shopper's Guide, 20 Dec 2008

Opal B. Leyrer, Age 88, loving mother and grandmother passed away on December
12, 2008.  Surviving are her children: John Leyrer of Portland and Roberta
“Bobbie” (Larry) Fisher of Three Oaks, MI; grandchildren: James (Karen) Fisher
of St. Joseph, MI and Dr. Melissa Fisher of St. Kits Island, West Indies; 2
great grandsons: Coty and Wyatt Fisher; 2 sisters: Rachel Penley and Lyla
McCurdy; several nieces and nephews.  Funeral services were held Tuesday,
December 16, 2008 at the Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Home, 210 E. Bridge Street,
Portland with interment following at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Lansing.  For
those desiring, memorial contributions may be made to the Hope Lutheran Church
General Fund in memory of Mrs. Opal B. Leyrer.
