Hastings "Reminder" - June 26, 2001
John Lich, 86, of Lake Como, Florida and Portland, Michigan went to be with his 
Lord peacefully early Wednesday, June 20, 2001 with his loving wife at his 
side.  Cremation has taken place.  A memorial service will be held on Sunday, 
July 29th at 3 pm at the Lake Odessa Christian Reformed Church, 620 Sixth 
Avenue, Lake Odessa.  Friends may meet with family beginning at 1 pm to share 
stories about John.

John was born on April 28, 1915 in Chicago, Illinois and moved to Sebewa 
Township in 1941.  He enjoyed farming and building.  He loved the smell of 
plowed ground and working the fields was his recreation when he grew older.  He 
was the beloved husband of Nell Torrenga who died in 1971 and of Vera who 
cherished the last 30 years with him.

Survivors include his loving wife Vera (Terpstra) Lich; children, John P. and 
Shirley Lich, Ken and Evelyn David, Larry and Linda Tower, Larry and Mickey 
Lich; also Vera's daughters, Jackie Greene, Judy Bruinius, Joan Jennings, June 
Terpstra and Joyce Terpstra.  He will be missed by many grandchildren and 
great-grandchildren he loved so dearly.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that you contribute to the charity of 
your choice in Dad's memory.
