She was born August 17, 1915, in Evergreen Park, Ill., daughter of Harry and Minnie (Ritzma) Torrenga, and married John Lich of Evergreen Park, August 19, 1936. The came to Michigan in 1940 and located on a farm in Sebewa township, rural Portland. Mrs. Lich was a member of the Christian Reformed church at Lake Odessa and the Sebewa Tuesday Niters club and also served on many community projects as an officer and worker. Surviving are her husband; two sons, John P. of rural Portland and Larry at home; two daughters, Mrs. Kenneth (Evelyn) David, rural Freeport, and Miss Linda Lich of Grand Rapids; four grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Harry (Christina) Brunius, Mrs. Harry (Evelyn) DeWitt and Mrs. Tony (May) Haas, all of Evergreen Park, Ill., and Mrs. Bob (Alice) Jaboay of Lansing, Ill.; two brothers, Everett Torrenga of Chicago, Ill. and Harold Torrenga of Evergreen Park, Ill. Funeral services were held on Tuesday at 1:30 at the Christian Reformed church, Lake Odessa. Rev. Howard Vugteveen officiated with burial in Lakeside cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions for a memorial for Pine Rest Children Retreat at Grand Rapids may be left at Pickens Chapel.
