Excerpts from Grand Rapids Obituary

MARY ANN LIEFEERS

Died Thursday September 24, 2022-age 82 at Maple Ridge in Lowell of Grattan Twp. 
Born May 16, 1940 in Belding, the daughter of Julius & Marquerite (Faber) 
Rittersdorf.
Mary Ann graduated from Belding High School with the class of 1959.
She was a longtime member of St.Patrick Catholic Church, Parnell, a past member 
of the Book Club at the Belding Library and in earlier years served as a 4-H 
leader in Kent County teaching sewing.
She enjoyed cooking.
She had a great love of family, especially her grandchildren and great-
grandchildren.
Survived by her children; Linda (Joe) Loughlin of Lowell, Karen (Keith) Cook of 
Grand Rapids, Nancy (Rob) Richardson of Zeeland, Mary Trienberg of East Grand 
Rapids, and John (Tam) Lieffers of Belding, 6 grandchildren & 2 great-
grandchildren, 2 brothers John & Fred; sister-in-law Janice Hollenbeck of Ohio, 
receded in death by her husband, John, parents, brothers Lewis & Joseph 
Rittersdorf, sister, Lorena Tran & foster sister Rosena Wright, nieces & 
nephews.
Thanks to the staff at Maple Ridge Manor for their loving care and to Bonnie 
Kelley for the friendship & spiritual support she provided to our Mother.
Mass of Christin Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday October 6, 2022, at 
St.Patrick Catholic Church, Parnell with Father Phil Shangraw presiding.
Visitation on Wednesday 6-8 PM with rosary prayed at 7:30 PM at Johnson-
Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding.
Visitation will also be one hour before Mass at church.
Committal prayers will follow Masa at St.Patrick Cemetery.
Memorial may be given to St.Patrick Catholic Church or the Belding Library 
Maintenance Fund.
