Ionia Daily Standard, page 4, 25 Aug 1899

Mrs. Mary Jane Lillie, wife of E.A. Lillie, Berlin, died yesterday very suddenly
after an illness of one week’s duration.  She was not supposed to be in a
critical condition, but friends returned to her room after a few minutes absence
to find her dead.  Her age was 43.  Funeral on Sunday morning at 10 o’clock at
Belin Center Church.  Interment, Balcom cemetery.

[Transcriber's Note:  There is a notation on the obituary card that she was the
daughter of Nathan and Eliza (Cory) Emmons.]
