Lincoln was born at Lyons, Ionia county, Michigan, December 18th, 1893. He spent the most of his early life in Lyons with his parents, until about ten years, at which time he made his home in Ionia where he was employed by the Ypsilanti Reed Furniture Co. He served seven months in the 149th Spruce Squadron of the American Army in Vancouver, Washington. He passed out of this life at the age of 27 years, 6 months and 2 days June 21st, 1920, in Cleveland, Ohio, where he was employed in the Shattuck Chair & Mfg. Co. He leaves to mourn his departure his mother and father, Mr. and Mrs. Austin Lincoln; three brothers, Earl Lincoln of Muir, Ray and Russell of Lyons; two sisters, Mrs. Chas. Crouse of Pontiac and Eva Lincoln of Lyons, besides a host of friends. The body was brought to Lyons from Cleveland Thursday and funeral services were held from the home Saturday afternoon conducted by Rev. Chas. Nease. The singing was by Mesdames A.E. Bradt and W.T. Dorgan with Mrs. C.H. Randall at the organ. The bearers were Hugh M. Kelley, J.W. Currigan, S.W. Kimball, Salem Ostrander, Roy Denny and Claude Jenks. The wealth of floral offerings attested to the esteem in which the young man was held. Interment was made in the Lyons cemetery.
