(Abe) Lincoln, 73, of 164 Adams St., Dundee, died Thursday at the University of Michigan Hospital. He was born Jan. 20, 1915 in Muir, the son of Earle and Hazel (Davis) Lincoln. He had worked for Union Telephone Company for three years, and then moved to Monroe County in 1939 where he worked for General Telephone for 43 years. He was past president of the System Council T-3; charter member of the Local 1174 International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. He is also a member of the Dundee United Methodist Church. Surviving are his wife, Ethelyn (Lewis); three sons, Edward of Del Rio, Texas, Robert of Muskegon and James of Dundee; one brother, Richard, of Ionia; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Buhl-Cover Funeral Home in Dundee. Cremation will follow the ceremony. Burial will be at the Maple Grove Cemetery in Dundee. Memorial contributions may be made to the Dundee Volunteer Fire Department.
