November 11, 2022 Anne Lincoln LYONS-Anne Marie Lincoln age 92, of Lyons,Michigan died peacefully on November 5, 2022, after a brief illness. St.Ann's Home, Grand Rapids, MI.and Faith Hospice cared for her. She was the eldest daughter of Raymond and Agatha (O'Hara) Lincoln. Her parents and brothers Patrick, Raymond, John, and Joseph and sister Mary (Lincoln) Krampe, preceded her in death. She was close with her siblings and their spouses. She worked for many years nursing pediatric patients and their families at St.Mary's Mercy Hospital Grand Rapids, a Trinity Health hospital. She was known to be skilled, kind, and knowledgeable in her field. Her work was challenging, fulfilling, and often required her to experience realities she would not have chosen. She practiced faithfully and professionally. She believed it was important to keep an active mind and body to be healthy. Anne was a lifelong parishioner of Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church,Ionia. She valued an annual retreat at Saint Lazarre's Retreat House in Spring Lake,MI. organizing women of the parish to attend. Her times on retreat were moments of healing, peace, renewal, and rest in the loving presence of God. She learned much and shared what she learned. She was an active participant int e lives of nieces ad nephews and often shared news of them with other family members. She mentored them on how to be adult family members, even when they did not know she was teaching. Her home was always a place of welcoming calm and the presence of beloved cats. First Rusty, then later Michael and Maggie Rose. She showed them great affection and often said she received much more than she gave. A great host of nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, and friends survive Anne. She absorbed and lived the Mercy charism, to care for the least in our midst, in her professional work, but it was more than a corporate slogan in her life. It was the way she approached every situation. Anne Believed that the mercy, love and kindness she received, was to be shared feely and applied widely. She would be incredibly happy to know that others follow her example. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, November 14th, 11:00 AM at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 434, High Street, Ionia, MI with burial and committal at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Ionia.
