Katherine (Katie) Lincoln, 98, of Ionia passed away Dec. 12, 2015, at her home
surrounded by her family.  She was born Jan. 27, 1917, in Three Rivers,
Michigan, the daughter of George and Artie (Mountjoy) Snyder.  She married
Richard S. Lincoln Feb. 7, 1945 in Grand Rapids.  He preceded her in death in 1995.

Katie was a member of Ionia First Methodist Church, past president and member of
the Ionia Chamber of Commerce and Ambassadors, Ionia Literary Club and Ionia
Historical Society.  Katie was an Ionia Free Fair Woman of the year, BPW Athena
Award Winner and longtime volunteer and supporter of the Ionia Free Fair.  She
was also the owner of Bo-Kay Shopp in Ionia for 33 years.

Shye is survived by her sons, Ronald (Corinne) Lincoln of Ann Arbor and Kevin
(Anita) Lincoln of Dorr; grandchildren Benjamin (Keirstin) Lincoln of Chicago,
Rebecca Lincoln of San Antonio, Kyle Lincoln of St. Louis, Alex Lincoln of
Stevensville, Jack Lincoln, Owen Lincoln and Eli Lincoln, all of Dorr;
sister-in-law Jane Snyder; and close friends Barb and Jack.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and brother Huey.

Funeral services for Katie will be held Thursday 11 a.m. at the First Methodist
Church in Ionia with Pastor Jon VonDop officiating.  Interment Oakwood Cemetery
in Muir.  Visitation Wednesday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Lake Funeral Home in
Ionia.  Those wishing may make memorial contributions to Ionia County historical
Society or First United Methodist Church.
