Lind dies in Ionia; last rites held Funeral services for Mrs. Amy M. Lind, aged 93, of 323 Lafayette Street, Ionia, were held Thursday afternoon, January 27, at the Boynton Funeral Home, with the Rev. Robert S. McComb of the First Presbyterian Church officiating. Interment was made in South Boston Cemetery. Mrs. Lind passed away Tuesday morning, January 25, at the Ionia County Memorial Hospital. She was born March 7, 1872, in Boston Township, the daughter of Samuel and Julia Hill Holmes. She had lived her entire life in Ionia County and taught school in Boston Township. Following her marriage to Daniel W. Lind, September 9, 1896, she lived in Boston and Campbell Townships until moving to Ionia in December 1918. Mrs. Lind was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and the Queen Esther Chapter, Order of Eastern Star, and a former member of the White Shrine. Surviving are a son, Arthur Lind of Ionia; two daughters, Mrs. John (Esther) Fahrni of Lowell and Mrs. Mildred Keift of Saginaw; four grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and a host of friends.
