Linden, who was buried in this city on Tuesday, was one of the very few remaining blacksmiths and wagon builders—the kind who built wagons from the ground up—of the early days. He was a fine type of the skilled workman of pioneer days. The carriers at the funeral were: Geo. and Frank Biehler, Michael Vizard, Charles Humphreys, John Welton and Roman Steinberg. Rev. Fr. H. D. McCarthy officiated at the funeral service and burial was in the Catholic cemetery. John S. Linden, aged 66, died Saturday evening at the house 758 West Main. The funeral, held on Tuesday 9 o’clock at SS Peter & Paul’s, was well attended by long-time friends.
