Ionia Sentinel - November 4, 1976
Leona V. Linder, 53, of 5793 Riverside drive, Lyons, died Thursday, morning at 
the home of a daughter in Middleton.  She was born April 9, 1923, in Palo, and 
was an employee of the Chrysler Trim plant in Lyons.  She had lived in Lyons 
for the past 12 years and in the Palo area most of her life.

Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Douglas (Nancy) Chapin of Fenwick; Mrs 
Alan (Margie) Whitcomb of San Antonio, Texas; Mrs. John (Merlene) Foster of 
Perrinton and Mrs Lyle (Jacquelyn) Towlsee of Middleton; one brother, Norman 
Thomas of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; three sisters, Mrs. Jen O'Connell of 
Ionia, Mrs. Faye Westbrook of Lansing and Mrs Geraldine MacKenzie of Benton 
Harbor and 10 grandchildren.

Services are Saturday at 1 pm from the Stebbins-Simpson funeral home in 
Sheridan with Rev. Gerald Bowen officiating.  Burial is in Palo cemetery.  The 
family will receive friends and relatives a the funeral home Friday 7 to 8:30 
pm.  A memorial fund is established for the cancer fund at Sparrow hospital in 
Lansing.
