Linderman, 71, of Johnson Road, rural Saranac, died Wednesday evening in Ionia County Memorial Hospital. Born in Sidney, July 28, 1913, he was the son of Charles and Amy Clifford Linderman. He attended Montcalm County rural schools and was employed by Ypsilanti-Reed Furniture Co. and successor firms, until his retirement from General Tire in 1973. He worked mostly as a truck driver. He was married to Phyllis Hilton Dec. 3, 1955, in Coldwater and they had made their home on Johnson Road since. Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Ray (Bonnie) Vuncannon and Mrs. Thomas (Patricia) Brockman, both of Ionia; 10 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; three brothers, Faude Linderman of Sarasota; Maurice Linderman of Greenville and Glen Linderman of Fairfax, Va.; one sister, Doris Longwell of Saranac; and nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. from the Leddick Funeral Home, with the Rev. Kenneth Harger of the Shiloh Community Church officiating. Burial will be in Easton Cemetery. A memorial has been established for the Michigan Heart Association in care of the funeral home.
