In his stay here he had made a host of friends a great many of whom turned out to pay their last respects. Rev. Prestidge who had been a great friend of the deceased delivered a very fine sermon. The music which also was very good was furnished by a mixed quartette composed of Mesdames O. C. Russ and A. B. Usborne and Messrs Wm. Gilson and Stanley W. Dann accompanied by Mrs. C. W. Slosson. Interment was made in Lakeside cemetery. Those from out of town who were in attendance at the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Loren Mote of Saranac, Miss Verda Mote of Mason, Mr. and Mrs. John Reamer oaf Clarksville and C. C. Busick of Red Bank, N. J. Mr. Lindley was a clothing man of extended experience being considered, by the firm whose employ he had been in Chicago for 16 years, previous to their coming here, one of the best salesman in the business. It was while in their employ that he had a blood clot form on his brain causing a partial paralysis, thus it was that after his recovery he was forced to come to the country for his health. But eventually the old trouble was to come back as it did a week ago Sunday evening in the form of total paralysis but he lingered on till Thursday morning when death came and carried him away from the bonds of that dread disease. He was an exceptionally well read man having made a study of all writers of any prominence and so was able to converse on any subject. Obituary Charles Herbert Lindley was born in Indianapolis, Ind., June 5, 1859. When eight years of age he moved with his parents to Chicago. March 5, 1895 he was united in marriage with Miss Mary Busick also of Chicago. In 1900 they moved to Lake Odessa where they resided until Mr. Lindley’s death which occurred Thursday morning Apr. 18. Mr. Lindley’s efficiency and faithfulness is shown by the fact that while a resident of Chicago he was identified with one clothing firm as salesman for 16 years and during his residence of 12 years here he made many friends because of his genial courteous manner and his kindly interest in all. He leaves to mourn their loss a wife other relatives and many friends.
