Portland Observer, 4 Jul 1912

Ford Lindley, 21 years old, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Lorenzo Lindley, died last 
Thursday of consumption.  The young man had been in ill health for several 
months, and his untimely passing has caused the parents deep grief.  Funeral 
services were conducted from the Baptist church Sunday afternoon.  Rev. C. F. 
Vreeland officiating, and the remains were laid to rest in Portland cemetery.  
Mr. Lindley, who leaves a large circle of friends, was born in Danby township and 
had resided in this vicinity all of his life.
