Tuesday evening about half past six at the home of his parents in this city, the spirit of Lyman Lindley, one of Belding’s popular young men, left its earthly habitation and winged its flight to brighter fields beyond this vale of suffering and of tears, after a severe illness of two weeks. Lyman was born in Belding, Feb. 2, 1880, and at the time of his death was 25 years and 5 days old. Ever thoughtful of his parents, he joined the Independent Order of Foresters some time ago and took out a life insurance policy for $1000. The funeral services were held at the home today at 2:30 and at the M. E. church at 3:00 o’clock, Rev. J. W. Sheehan having charge of the ceremonies, and the remains were laid to rest at the old cemetery in the family lot. His parents and one brother are left to mourn their loss. The floral tributes were many and beautiful and attested the esteem in which he was held in the community.
