He was born in Sebewa township, Ionia county January 6, 1888 and was a son of Ammon and Nettie (Aldrich) Lindley. He operated a general store in East Leroy for nine years and from 1921 to 1950 was superintendent of a foundry at Union Steam Pump Co., retiring in 1950. A World War I veteran he was a member of the American Legion at Hickory corners and was a member of the V.F.W. Post 8715, Battle Creek. He was also a member of the International Molders and Foundry Workers union. Surviving are his wife, Madeline, a daughter, Mrs. Helen Kenny of Fenwick; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Don Bennett of East Tawas; Mrs. Jack Bush of Grand Rapids and a brother, Dower Lindley of Bronson. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday afternoon at 1 o’clock at the Spencer funeral home, Athens. Interment will be in Augusta.
