Lindley, 77, of 423 King street died suddenly Monday afternoon at 1:15 o’clock, as the result of a heart attack. He had been in poor health for the past three years but death was unexpected. The son of Stephen and Amarilla Lindley, he was born March 5, 1866, in Sebewa township. December 24, 1886, he was married to Nettie Aldrich of Boston township, who survives him. The couple had celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary last December. Surviving are his wife, Nettie; three sons, Ammon Lindley, Jr., at home; William Lindley of Battle Creek, Dower Lindley of Detroit; two daughters, Mrs. Naomi Bennett of Fenton and Mrs. Beulah Bush of Grand Rapids; four grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Eunice Peacock of Lake Odessa and Mrs. Annie Daniels of Lake Odessa; one brother, Herman Lindley, of Grand Rapids. Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Myers funeral home. Rev. A.R. K[unreadable], pastor of the Zion Evangelical church will officiate and burial will be in Balcom Cemetery.
