Friends of this community have just learned of the death of an old resident 
Andrus Lindley, 80, who passed away following a stroke, at his home in Ionia, 
Saturday evening.  Funeral services were conducted Wednesday from the Myers 
funeral home, Ionia; the Rev. J. A. Thompson of St. Louis, a nephew of Mr. 
Lindley, officiated, and was assisted by the Rev. John Young and Rev. Wheelock 
of Ionia.  Burial was made in the Sebewa Baptist cemetery.  March 26, 1889 Mr. 
Lindley was united in marriage to Jennie G. Treice, who survives him, also two 
daughters Mrs. Clyde Franks and Mrs. Frank Weller, both of Grand Rapids; one 
son Stephen Lindley of Reading, Cal.; two brothers Herman of Grand Rapids and 
Ammon of Ionia; two sisters Mrs. Eunice Peacock and Mrs. Anna Daniels of 
Sebewa, besides grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
