Lindley, 75, of 423 King, died suddenly at her home at 1 a.m. Tuesday morning. She had been watching television when death occurred due to a pulmonary disorder, according to Coroner Dale Kauffman. A neighbor, Dan Pierce, called city police when he discovered the light in her home was burning about 3:15 a.m. City police investigating called the coroner about 3:45 a.m. Mrs. Lindley was born May 30, 1896, in North Plains township, Ionia county the daughter of Thomas and Alice McKeone Rogers. He husband, Ammon, died October 5, 1956. She had taught at Loomis school, south of Ionia, Belding public schools and also SS Peter and Paul Catholic school in Ionia. She was a member of Rosary circle of SS Peter and Paul church and had lived all her life in Ionia county. Her only survivors are nieces and nephews. Requiem high mass will be given at SS Peter and Paul church Friday at 10 a.m. Rosary will be recited Thursday at 8 p.m. at Myers-Roetman funeral home. Interment will be at Balcom cemetery.
