BOUGHT THE ORA BACHELDER FARM. ---------- Charles Lindquist, a greatly respected resident o Odessa township, whose farm is about three miles north of town died at his home of pneumonia, following influenza, Dec. 11. In the spring of 1915 he bought what was known as the Ora Bachelor farm. OBITUARY Charles Axel Lindquist was born near Linkoping, Sweden, February 8, 1862. He came to this country when he was 19 years of age and engaged in farming. On December 12, 1888, he was married to Sophie Westman. To this union were born three children, two sons and a daughter. He moved with his family to Michigan in the spring of 1915, purchasing the farm on which they now reside three miles northeast of Lake Odessa. Mr. Lindquist passed to the great beyond, Dec. 11, at the age of 56 year, 10 months and 3 days, having been sick about two weeks with influenza, later developing into plurisy and then into pneumonia which caused his death. He leaves to mourn their loss, his devoted wife and their three children; Oscar Clarence, who is now serving his country, Fred Arthur, at home on the farm and Edith Christing Garlinger, who lives in Lake Odessa; one grandson, Ivar Garlinger. Besides those who were near and dear to him, Mr. Lindquist had a host of friends who were shocked when they heard of his sudden death, but the grim reaper is no respecter of persons. The funeral was held at the home, Rev. E. L. Prentice preaching and the burial was at Lakeside cemetery.
