Lindquist 65, passed away Friday night at the Ionia County Memorial hospital, where he had been a patient since Monday. He had been in ill health for several years and had been hospitalized intermittently. The Lindquist family came from Plano, Illinois, where they purchased the Ora Bachelder farm, northeast of town 43 years ago, residing there until 1946 when they moved to their local home when Mr. Lindquist retired from farming. He was then employed as plant protection officer at Ionia Manfucturin Company at Ionia, until April 1955, retiring because of ill health. Mr. Lindquist was a member and past master of Lake Odessa F. & A. M. Lodge No. 395, being a faithful member for 40 years. Also a member of the Royal Arch Mason No. 68 and a Knight Templar of Hastings Commandery No. 56. a member of the Saladin Temple Shrine Oasis of Grand Rapids. Also member of the Lake Odessa I.O.O.F. Surviving are his mother Mrs. Sophia Lindquist, a sister Mrs. Ermal (Edith) Garlinger of Lake Odessa, one brother Oscar of Lansing, one nephew and two nieces. Funeral services wee held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Pickens funeral chapel under auspices of the Masonic Lodge, with burial in Lakeside Cemetery. Rev. A. J. Pitman officiated.
