Robert Lloyd Lindsley, 72, of Ionia passed away May 9, 2012 at his home. He was 
born Sept. 12, 1939 in Portland, the son of Ernest and Marguerite (Wolcott) 
Lindsley. Robert married Mary Adair June 11, 1969 in Ionia. He served in the 
Navy and the National Guard. He retired from general Motors after 30 years of 
service at the Oldsmobile Plant. Robert also worked at ITM in Lowell and Amway. 
He was a member of the UAW.

Robert is survived by his loving wife of almost 43 years Mary Lindsley of 
Ionia; children, Chad (Chasity) Lindsley of Ionia, Roberta (Rocky) Graham of 
Ionia, Dawn Courtnier of Grand Rapids, Jeff Lucas of Lowell, Shawn Lance of 
Kansas and Tammy (Dale) Castle of Morley; grandchildren, Casey, Crystal, Chad 
Jr., Nickie, Samantha, Jessica, Moriah, Diane, Harley, Jeffery and Angelica; 
brother, Roger Lindsley of Ionia; and special dogs, Cuddles and Peanut. 

A special thanks to nephew Ron and wife Carry and Ionia Hospice.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Ralph.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 12 at Lake Funeral 
Home in Ionia with Pastor Cliff Allen officiating.
