Although Mrs. Linebaugh was very cheerful and always had a good word for everyone with whom she came in contact, she had for the past number of years suffered with cancer of the stomach. She always looked upon the bright side of life and at the time of her death seemed younger in sprit than many of those much younger. Mrs. Linebaugh was born at Fremont, Ohio 76 years ago. She married Wm. Linebaugh when she was in her teens. They came to Michigan 47 years ago settling in Orange township, where Mr. Linebaugh cleared and tilled a large farm where he died 18 years ago. Mrs. Linebaugh was a member of the Eastern Stars, Rebekahs and the Baptist church. She had for some time attended the M. E. church, where the funeral was held Sunday afternoon, Rev. J. M. DeVette, of St. Johns, officiating. Burial was made in Portland cemetery. The surviving children are Frank and Lafayette Linebaugh, Mrs. J. E. Manne, Mrs. Arthur Elverts, of this vicinity, J. Calvin Linebaugh, Orleans; Floyd Linebaugh of Lansing, Fay Linebaugh of Chicago. All the children were here to attend the funeral.
