Ionia Standard, 26 Dec 1917

Funeral services for Murl Link were held this afternoon at ?:30 at the Bradley
mortuary, Rev. E.E. Branch officiating.  The bearers were Harry Youngs, Van Dye,
Harry Nelson and Wayne Faldwin.  Four honorary bearers were present – Lieut.
Harry H. Gemuend, Geo. W. Webber, Charles VanSickle and Thos. Steinburg, all of
Camp Custer, Battle Creek.  Young Link died December 19 of spinal meningitis at
Camp Meade, Maryland, where he was with a company of engineers.

The body of Murl Link was expected in Ionia today on the 4:22 train this
afternoon, being shipped last Saturday from the East.
