LIPSCOMB DIES AT AGE OF 20 ------------ FORMER RESIDENT OF TAMARAC VICINITY. GRADUATE OF GRAND RAPIDS HIGH SCHOOL. BURIED IN LAKESIDE CEMETERY. ------------ Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Lipscomb, former residents of thisfamily vicinity lost a beautiful daughter in the prime of life when their daughter, Dacie, passed away at the age of twenty years, last Tuesday. The funeral was held in Grand Rapids and the remains brought to Lakeside cemetery for burial. The family have the sympathy o a large number of friends in this community in their side affliction. It is said death was the indirect result of the "flu" which she had one year ago OBITUARY Dacie Aileen Lipscomb, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Lipscomb, was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan. November 23, 1908, and departed from this life May 7th, 1929, at the age of 20 years, 5 months and 11 days. She attended grade school at the Tamarac and Algodon, and at the Franklin school in Grand Rapids. In 1927 she was graduated from South High school and later from the Comptometer school of Grand Rapids. Dacie always attended Sunday school at the Tamarac church and later at the Smith Memorial Congregational church in Grand Rapids. At the age of nineteen years she gave her heart to God. She leaves to mourn their loss, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Lipscomb, two sisters, Mrs. Lorna Knowles and Donna, a brother, Ford, and brother-in-law, Orno Knevies. One grand parent, Mr. B. F. Cotton remains, several aunts, uncles and cousins and a multitude of friends. Dacie was always a loving and affectionate daughter, and sister and won by her loving and attractive personality a host of true friends. Taken in her early youth, So young, and sweet, and fair, God took her home to be with Him And dwell forever there. She was the sunshine in our home A fairy, bright and gay, A flower in all its beauty Which spreads no brighter ray We'll never cease to mourn her Our darling daughter, child of God. For her memory is always with us, Though she sleeps in heaven above. CARD OF THANKS Lipscomb: We wish to express our sincere thanks and appreciation for relatives, friends and neighbors for their kindness shown us during the sickness and death of our beloved daughter and sister. We especially wish to thank Rev. H. McConnell for his words of consolation, those who furnished the singing.
