While visiting with a neighbor late Monday afternoon Mrs. Nina May Little passed away at her home, 904 Masonic avenue. Throughout the day she had enjoyed callers and seemed to be better following a very restful night Sunday. However, Mrs. Little’s condition has been considered serious since Thanksgiving and for the past few weeks has been confined to her bed. Nina May Demorest was the daughter of Clark C. and Sally A. Thompson Demorest, having been born on the old Demorest homestead at the west city limits April 4, 1858. She was united in marriage in the spring of 1877 to Nathan B. Worden who passed from this life in 1882. To this union were born two children, a daughter, Sada, who was with her mother when she died, and a son, Jesse Worden, of Chicago. Mrs. Little was united in marriage to Andrew B. Little March 17, 1886. The family lived on the Little farm near Woodard lake for about 8 years and then came back to Belding and made their home on Masonic avenue in the home built by Mr. Little. The latter preceded his wife in death in 1921. Mrs. Little was an active member of the Church of Christ as long as her health would permit and will be remembered as a quiet, simple, Christian woman by all who knew her. She also was a member of the Woman’s Relief Corps. Funeral services will be held from the late home Thursday afternoon at 2 o’clock. A former pastor, Rev. H.E. Curch, of Mt. Pleasant, will officiate and burial will be in the family lot in Otisco cemetery. Besides her own children Mrs. Little is survived by two step-sons, Edward Little, of Ionia, and Forrest Little, of San Antonio, Texas. Other survivors are a sister, Miss Clara Demorest, of this city, and a brother, Adelno Demorest, of Lansing. The latter will be unable to attend the funeral due to old age and ill health.
