Geroge H. Lobdell, 76, of rural Ionia, died Wednesday at the Ionia County 
Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Lobdell was born Nov. 4, 1907, in Ionia, son of Charles and Lavina Plant 
Lobdell. He graduated from Palo High School, worked in Lansing at Nash 
Kelvinator plant and in 1946 worked for Gibson Rifrigerator at both Greenville 
and Belding plants.  He was a metal finisher, foreman and an inspector, 
retiring in 1971.

Surviving are his wife, the former Leota Wright whom he married in 1925; one 
daughter; three sons; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Leddick Funeral Home, Ionia, the 
Rev. Kenneth Harger of the Shiloh COmmunity Church officiating.  Interment 
will be in Palo cemetery.
