The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Wednesday, August 23, 1950
Mrs. Earl Locher, 85, died at her home on Church street, Saranac, Tuesday, 
August 22, at 4 p.m.

She was born in Berlin Township and has lived in Saranac for the past 50 
years.  She is the wife or Charles Locher of Saranac to whom she had been wed 
for 55 years.  

Mrs. Locher was a teacher in the Ionia rural school system and was a past 
president of the Saranac Women’s club.

Survivors include, besides her husband, three daughters, Mrs. Gertrude 
Talcott, Mrs. Ruth Tefft and Mrs. Esther Baie, all of Saranac; nine 
grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.  Services will be held Friday, 
August 25, at 2 p.m. at the Morse funeral home in Saranac.  Interment will be 
in Saranac cemetery.
