April 18, 1940 MRS. CORA LOCK DIES AT HOME OF DAUGHTER Deceased Leaves One Daughter and One Sister. Resident of Lake Odessa Several Years. A wire from Mrs.Bessie Short in San Francisco, Cal., states that her sister Mrs.Cora E. Lock passed away Wednesday, April 17, at the home of her son-in-law and daughter Dr.and Mrs.E.K. Dinges of that city. Mr. Lock has been a resident of Lake Odessa many years. She and her husband came here from Chicago and purchased the home now owned by Fredric Baine here. Mr.Lock died about five years ago. After the death of her husband she was joined by her sister, and they together purchased the late Samuel Velte residence on Fifth avenue. Both of thee ladies were formerly residents of Washington, D.C. and made several visits there, also spent several winters in Florida. This year they left to sped the winter in California. mrs.Lock's health bean to fail last winter in Florida and there and here the best medical service was given her. She was tenderly nursed there by her sister whose untiring service were always greatly appreciated. Mrs.Lock was a cultured, refined lady, a faithful member of the Methodist church here, of the W.C.T.U. and of the Eastern star. She leaves many admiring friends to mourn her passing.
