S. Locke, a resident of Berlin township for the past fifty years, died Wednesday morning, July 5th, after a long illness, aged 75 years. Mrs. Locke was one of the first settlers of that part of the county, and consequently had a wide circle of acquaintances and friends who have all held this old pioneer in the highest esteem. She leaves behind a husband, one son and three daughters, of which Mrs. Chas. McCoy, of this village is one. The funeral was held today and the remains laid to rest in the Letz Cemetery near Tremains corners, Rev. Seymour, of Ionia, preaching the sermon.
