Sentinel-Std. - Thursday, Jan. 11, 1979

PORTLAND- Robert A. Lockwood, 85, died Wednesday at the Masonic Home in 
Alma.

He was born august 24, 1893 in Portland to Clara Davis and Thomas Lockwood.

Lockwood was past master of masonic lodge No. 31 F & A M and past commander 
of Ionia Commandry No. 11 Knights Templar.

He is survived by his wife Mildred, one son, John Lockwood of Tokyo, Japan; 
one daughter, Mrs. Nadyne Hunt of Lansing and one sister, Mrs. Grace Megarah 
of Portland.

Funeral services will be 1:30 pm Friday from the Neller funeral Home in 
Portland, Rev. Ronald Lahr will officiate with burial in Portland cemetery.

Pallbearers are Robert Moyer, T.W. Maclennen, Howard Challender, Ray Shaw, 
Howard Wilcox and Lee Dobson.
