Lake Odessa Wave-Times Friday March 5, 1920

                                 OBITUARY
Mrs. Elizabeth E.Lockwood, was born in Collins, Erie C., Mew York, the first day 
of May in the year 1836 and died at her home in Woodland Township February 25, 
1920, at the age of 83 years 9 months and 25 days.

Miss Elizabeth E. Ransford came to Michigan with her parents by wagon when eight 
years of age, settling in Hillsdale Co., and later was married to Claudius 
V.Lockwood in Pulaski, Mich., July 3, 1857 and moved with her husband to 
Woodland in the year 1869 and lived on the home farm until her death. To them 
wee born four children; Henry, deceased; Eddie, of Milwaukee; Mrs.Ella Alden, 
deceased, Killie Teall of Philip, S.D. and Eugene of Woodland. She leaves to 
mourn their loss, one sister,Marie Warner of Lexington, Neb., three children, 
nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, and other relatives.

Those from out of town in attendance at the funeral were Mrs.Emma Ransford, Mrs. 
Blanch Clapp of Lowell, Mrs.Lue Alden and sons Harry and Harold of Athens.

                               CARD OF THANKS
We hereby wish to thank our many friends and neighbors who so kindly assisted us 
during the illness and death of our beloved mother. Also the kind words of 
sympathy and the singers for their kind services.
