Catherine L. Loerch, 74, of Randle, Washington, former Saranac resident, died at
Morton Hospital, Randle, Friday.  She was born in Long Island, New York, Dec.
12, 1906, the daughter of Frank and Grace Simenson Bowers.

She and her late husband, John, and their family moved to the Saranac area about
1948 where they lived on a farm north of the village.  He died in 1977.  She
moved to Washington about four years ago.

She is survived by one son, John David, of Mt. Nittany, Penna.; and one
daughter, Mrs. Norman (Catherine) Sadler of Washington.  Twelve grandchildren
and seven great-grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be held from the Lake Funeral Home, Saranac, Monday at 1
p.m. with the Rev. Edwin Mendenhall officiating.  Burial will be in Easton
Cemetery.
