Mrs. Loewe, who had been in failing health for the past five or six years, had been a patient there since last August. She was born in Detroit, the daughter of Henry and Marie Amperse. Before coming to Belding over 50 years ago, she resided in Mason and Owosso. In April of 1886 she was married to the late Herman Loewe, former Belding tailor. Mrs. Loewe was a member of the Congregational church, Doric chapter No. 75, OES, Victoria Rebekah lodge, American Legion auxiliary. Surviving are two sons, Hugo and Albert Loewe of San Francisco; a daughter, Mrs. Norma Stimson of Buffalo, New York; a sister, Mrs. Harry Anderson of Highland Park who came Sunday to be with Mrs. Loewe, a brother Henry Amperse of Port Huron; one grand-daughter and two great grandchildren. Interment was at the family lot at River Ridge cemetery with the Rev. H. S. Ellis officiating.
