Ionia Sentinel-Std. - Sat. Jan. 30, 2021

Mrs. Gay Lynn London, age 61, died Monday, January 18, 2021 at her home at Como 
Lake, Greenville. She was born September 10, 1959, the daughter of Victor and 
Mary Hull. Gay grew up in Ionia and graduated from Ionia High School, class of 
1978. Gay and her husband, David London, enjoyed renovating and updating their 
home and loved their hours spent fishing and boating on Como Lake. Gay cherished 
time spent with her grandchildren and was a very devoted grandmother. She also 
enjoyed gardening, quilting, traveling, camping and kayaking with friends, and 
taking walks with her dog, Raji. 

Dave preceded Gay in death on August 24, 2014. She was also preceded in death by 
her father, Victor Hull and sister, Dixie Hull. Gay’s spirit is carried on by 
her children, Ryan (Sara) Ellison of Greenville, Cory (Erin) Ellison of 
Rockford, Paul David London of Illinois, and Katy (Josh) Costello of Illinois; 
grandchildren, Carson, Collin, and Carter Ellison, Isla Ellison, and Adelaide 
Costello; mother, Mary Hull of Ionia; and sisters, Diana (David) Kober of 
Comstock Park and Terri Hull of Ionia. 

Gay was dearly loved and will be deeply missed. We were blessed to have known 
her. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Friday, January 22, 2021 at Shiloh 
Community Church, Pastor Ken Harger officiating. Visitation will be Thursday 
from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at Hurst Funeral Home, Greenville. Burial will be in Forest 
Home Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that 
memorial contributions be made to Friends of Forest Home Cemetery or Spectrum 
Health Hospice.
