Ionia Sentinel Standard, 9 Jun 1942

Funeral services for Mrs. Mattie Long 71, who died unexpectedly at her home at 
239 South Dexter street, early Saturday morning, were held Monday afternoon from 
the Boynton funeral home.  Rev. F.G. Dunbar of the First Methodist church 
officiated and burial was in the family lot in Lyons cemetery.  Pallbearers were 
Orin DeGroot, Harry Chase, Ralph Moore and Ralph Long.

Relatives who attended from away were Mrs. Elsie Garfield, Beulah Bristol and 
Mrs. Roy Green, all of Battle Creek.
