Ionia Sentinel, Thurs., Jun 19, 1884
The burial of Mrs. Lucy Long, wife of Andrew Long, and daughter of Mr. and 
Mrs. James Nickerson, who was so brutally murdered on last Friday night, took 
place in the cemetery at Palo on Sunday afternoon. She was buried by the side 
of her brother Charles who was killed in the lumber woods in the winter of 
1871 in the 24th year of his age.
