LONG, ELLEN CURRY:

      Per undated, unsited newspaper in scrapbook of Mrs. Bohen, Carson City
Library:  "HUBBARDSTON - Mrs. Ellen Long, 79-year-old Pewamo resident, died
Sunday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth Cusack, of North
Plains.  Death followed an illness of nine weeks.
   Born in Ionia April 16, 1858, the daughter of Patrick and Ellen Curry, she
came to North Plains at the age of four, where she resided until her marriage to
John Long of Fowler.  To them were born ten children, seven of whom survive: 
three sons, James of Pewamo, Joseph of Eaton Rapids and B. W. of Vernon; four
daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Cusack of North Plains, Miss Agnes Long of Detroit,
Mrs. John Fitzpatrick, Hubbardston, and Mrs. J. W. Herch of Avilla, Indiana; one
sister, Mrs. Henry Long of Fowler, also survives, together with 13 grandchildren
and two great-grandchildren.
   The body remained at the Cusack home until the funeral which was held
Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock from St. John's church, Hubbardston.  Burial
took place at Holy Trinity cemetery, Fowler, by the side of her husband, who
died 28 years ago."
