The Ionia County News, Thursday, March 8, 1934
George Long, 73, a life long resident of Lake Odessa vicinity, died Friday at 
the farm home of his daughter, Mrs. Henry Tisher.  Mr. Long had been in ill 
health for some time.  He is survived by three other daughters, Mrs. William 
Hilsberg, Mrs. Martin DeWright and Mrs. Minnie Kahler, all of Grand Rapids.

The funeral was held at the Thornapple Brethren church Sunday at two o’clock.  
Burial in Clarksville cemetery.
