Hastings Reminder - May 21, 1996
Lelo M. Longanbach, age 95, of Lake Odessa, passed away Wednesday, March 20, 
1996 at Tendercare Nursing home.  She was born January 20, 1901 in Gratiot 
County, the daughter of David and Jennie (Scherck) Shroyer.  She attended 
Freeport Schools and Married Walter Longanbach.  He preceded her in death 
October 27, 1985.  She was employed as a bookkeeper with Smith Brothers 
Elevator for several years.

She was also preceded in death by a son, Lawrence Miller in 1965; one grandson, 
Don Miller; brother, George Shroyer.  Mrs. Longanbach is survived by two 
daughters, Naida (Gene) Rising of Woodland, Areta (Gordon) Smith of Jackson; 
nine grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; eight great great 
grandchildren; one step daughter, Ann Middaugh of Lake Odessa; four step sons, 
Walter Longanbach of Germany, John Longanbach of Portland, Wesley Longanbach of 
Woodbury, Lewis Longanbach of Williamston; several step grandchildren, step 
great grandchildren and step great great grandchildren.

Grave side services will be held Saturday, May 25, 1996 at 1:00 pm at Sunset 
Memorial Gardens in Ionia with Reverend Ward Pierce officiating.  Arrangements 
were made by Koops Funeral Chapel of Lake Odessa.
