The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Monday, March 23, 1987
Ray Richard (Dike) Longdike, 60, of 311 Adams, Ionia, died Friday morning at 
Greenville Memorial Hospital.  Born April 11, 1926, in Portland, he was the 
son of Arthur and Edith Kimball Longdike.  He attended Ionia Public Schools 
and retired as a meat cutter from Snyder Wholesale Beef, Fowler. 

He was married to the former Esther Neilson in Ionia in 1950.  Surviving are 
his wife; two sons, Arthur and Rodney, both of Ionia; five grandchildren; a 
brother, Richard Blackmer of Ionia; and three sisters, Martha Miller of Ionia, 
Myrtle Miller of Ionia and Paul Jacobs of Greenville.  One son and one 
daughter preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be Monday at 2 p.m. from Hull Memorial Chapel, Muir.  
Burial will be in Danby Cemetery.
