The Ionia Daily Standard, Monday, November 11, 1918
A telegram received at Detroit last week reports the death of William F. 
Longe, better known as “Pete,” former Ionia boy.  He was the son of Mrs. 
Nellie Longe, and went over with the 85th division.  He died Sept. 28 of 
influenza and bronchial pneumonia.  Louis, his brother, is also with the 85th, 
but in a different part of France.
