The Lake Odessa Wave, Thursday, December 27, 1928
Six weeks ago Miss Gladys Shoen and Mr. Frank Longieliere were married by Rev. 
John M. (illegible)….. the parsonage.  Saturday the same minister officiated 
at the funeral of the bride.  Her death occurred at Grand Haven Thursday, 
after a brief illness of pneumonia.  Mr. Longieliere is a chef on one of the 
passenger boats sailing from Grand Haven.  His wife was a daughter of Clifton 
Shoen of Portland.  Burial was in North Eagle cemetery – Portland Review.

Miss Gladys Shoen with her people lived in Lake Odessa for several years, and 
the children were well known among the school children.
