Ionia Daily Sentinel, 4 Feb 1935

Floyd R. Longwell, 55, died at his home in Carson City Saturday morning at 6 
o’clock.  Mr. Longwell had been in ill health for over a year and he had been 
seriously ill the past month.

He was born in Lyons, July 16, 1879.  When a small boy he moved to Montcalm 
county with his parents and he attended school at Bloomer Center in that 
county.  He was united in marriage to Miss Alta M. Whitman, January 31, 1902.  
Mrs. Longwell died March 29, 1934, and one daughter, Hattie, died at the age of 
four years.  Surviving are one son, Carlton Longwell, of Carson City, and two 
brothers, Roy Longwell, of Ionia; and Arthur Longwell, of Big Rapids.
	
Funeral services will be conducted from the home in Carson City Tuesday 
afternoon at 1:30; and from the Baptist church in Palo at 2:30.  Interment will 
be at the Palo cemetery.
