Ionia Sentinel Standard, 31 Mar 1934

Mrs. Alta Longwell, 52 years old, died at her home in Carson City, Thursday,
March 29, following an illness of two weeks.  Mrs. Longwell was born in Bloomer
township, Montcalm county in 1882.  She was married to Floyd Longwell, who while
they were residents in Ionia was in the taxi and garage business.  Mr. and Mrs.
Longwell lived in Ionia for eight years, moving 5 years ago to Shiloh and later
to Carson City.  She is survived by her husband, one son, Carlton, of Carson
City, a brother Many Whitman, of Carson City, and her father who is 86 years old
is living in Bloomer township.  Funeral services will be held in the Baptist
church at Palo, Sunday afternoon at 2:30, with burial in the Palo cemetery.
